1. In order to bid in this auction, you must register first. Complete your details, click on "Submit" and then close the window. You will be sent a password to go along with your own chosen username automatically via an email message (make sure your email address is correct!). Once you have your password you can enter the auction and bid on any Wendy J Levy auction lot. Keep hold of your username and password, so that you do not have to register to bid for future auction items.

2. Bidders must be 16 years of age or older.

3. You may only bid via email.

4. Bidding will be in English Sterling only.

5. Bids must be increased by a minimum of £5.

6. Any customs or postage charges will be borne by the winning bidder.

7. There is no buyers premium applied to the cost of an item.

8. Once a bid has been submitted, it cannot be retracted.

9. All items are subject to a reserve price. If the reserve price has not been met and you are the winning bidder, successful purchase at your bidding price is not guaranteed.

Questions

1. What if there are two or more equal bids?

This is not possible, as a second bid for the same amount will not be accepted by the computer.

2. What happens if I have been outbid?

You will be notified automatically via email that someone has placed a bid higher than yours. A link straight back to the relevant page will be in the email so you can return to place a higher bid.

3. What happens if my bid was the highest?

See below for the procedures for winning bids.

Procedures for winning bidders at the end of an auction

Notification

You will be notified that you have made the highest bid immediately via email and, providing you have reached the reserve price, you should contact the gallery to arrange collection and payment for your work of art. If, however, your bid did not reach the reserve price you may contact the gallery to establish the reserve price and further negotiation could then take place.

Payment

Payment may be made to "Wendy J Levy Contemporary Art" via an English Sterling cheque, or alternatively we can process a payment over the telephone using Visa, Delta, Mastercard or Switch. Should you require your winning bid item delivered by mail you will be informed of the cost prior to making payment.

Shipping

Wendy J Levy Contemporary Art undertakes to ship the item to the winner within 10 days of receipt of payment.
